Founder

When I created Black Saddle in 2020 I was working in finance in London and going on riding holidays regularly to escape from the City and get back to feeling like myself. I grew up in New Zealand and didn’t have any horsey friends in London though I REALLY wished I did.

Black Saddle solves two problems that I had back then.

  1. Choosing a ride. We only list the world’s best rides. We have very high standards. We list sporty rides, in beautiful remote places, with incredible hosts that make you feel like friends and rides that offer immense value for the richness of the experience. Our rides will make you feel alive. They’ll make you feel like yourself.
  2. We create a community of experienced riders looking to meet like-minded people. Maybe you’re like me and didn’t have horsey friends locally. Maybe your friends have young families and don’t have as much time for travel as you do. Maybe you’re at a point in your life where it would be nice to meet some new people.
